Homeowner: Larry Aquino, Retired Principal Description: The cold family room in the basement Comments: "I purchased some OvrX to install in my family room in the basement. I am most pleased with the results as the room is considerably warmer then before and much more functional. The tongue and groove design made the installation a snap and the rug went down on the top to give the room a great look. One of the side benefits I didn’t count on was how easy this floor is on my wonky knees. The results were easy and amazing. This product is better than advertised." |

Homeowner: Mathew Hynes, Homeowner Description: Townhouse Rec Room Comments: "Since I am retired and on my own now, I decided to finish my basement as a "Rec Room" so that my grandchildren would have a place to play when they visited and also to provide me with a comfortable place to work out on my exercise equipment. When it came to deciding what to do with the basement floor I decided on a durable laminate floor on top of the Barricade subfloor system. Barricade was a logical choice since it was insulated so that the floor would be considerably warmer in the wintertime and it promised to provide a quiet cushioned "feel" to the floor. You'd never know that this floor was installed over concrete! I am happy with the results. It is a warm, comfortable floor.no squeaks or hollow sounds. The subfloor was installed with the help of friends and family in just one day and the laminate floor the next day. I did a lot of the finishing work on this basement and was pleased with the fact that the Barricade system can be installed easily. It just floats over the concrete and the tongue and groove subfloor panels press together with a hammer and tapping block. It's that easy! " |

Homeowner: Barry Olson, Georgetown, ON Project: Basement BathroomDescription: Approximately 350 square feet of basement floor space and 296 square feet of perimeter basement foundation wall will be finished. In this space a 120 square foot three piece basement bathroom will be added. Comments: With three young daughters my wife and I wanted to add a basement bathroom and playroom recreation room space for the kids. When I found out about the Barricade basement finishing system, I thought it was perfect for our little basement bathroom project. The Barricade subfloor tiles were installed in several hours. The Barricade wall panels were installed on top of the subfloor in stages over several weekends. I liked how easy it was to work with and to install. The basement bathroom is close to completion and the pressure is on. When this basement bathroom is finished I will send in another photo. I hope it's soon. |
